WiRan Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project entitled:
‘Autonomous system for detecting and alerting when someone enters a danger zone around construction machine’
co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for the Modern Economy

Project objective:
The objective of the project is to develop an innovative, market-ready, autonomous system for detecting and alerting about entry into a danger zone around construction machine. The applicant’s solution will be innovative on the Polish market and in EU countries.
The features of the new products that demonstrate their level of innovation include, above all:
1. a hybrid sensor that allows for reliable detection of objects, in particular people, in extreme environmental conditions prevailing on a construction site at a distance of up to 10 metres,
2. fully autonomous operation in real time.
Both features will be achieved, assuming resistance to mechanical exposure and environmental conditions that occur on a construction site.
The scope of activities includes industrial research (TASK 1) aimed at developing the main functionality of detecting entry into a dangerous zone, as well as development work (TASK 2) that will allow for the achievement of full system functionality and the validation and confirmation of the results obtained in real conditions (pilot project on a construction site).
The result of the project will be an autonomous system for detecting and alerting about entering a dangerous zone around a construction machine, which is to be implemented in the Applicant’s business activities and better address the needs of the target group – the construction industry – and meet technological challenges than currently available competitive products on the market. The project will benefit owners, management, employees and associates working in the construction industry by increasing safety awareness on construction sites.
Planned outcome: Implementation of the results of research and development work into the company’s activities.
